Nicholas Wheat is a New York based documentary, and commercial photographer from Austin, Texas. His approach to visual story-telling prioritizes strong content without sacrificing creativity in the medium. His portfolio has expanded since 2015 and ranges from chaotic street scenes to technically precise still-life.
Wheat’s personal street work seeks out unexpected juxtopositions, and expressive faces and gestures that characterize his dynamic, humorous style. Even on commercial assignments, the street photographer’s playful improvisation shines through.
In May 2023 he graduated from Spéos International Photography School in Paris. He is currently living and working in NYC.
