Nicholas Wheat is a New York based documentary, and commercial photographer from Austin, Texas. His approach to visual story-telling prioritizes strong content without sacrificing creativity in the medium. His portfolio has grown since 2015 and ranges from chaotic street scenes to peaceful cool-tone nightscapes.

Such themes as drama, solitude, joy, and intimacy are apparent in his recent projects. Wheat’s personal street work seeks out expressive faces and gestures that characterize his dynamic, humorous style.

In May 2023 he graduated from Spéos International Photography School in Paris. He is currently living and working in New York City.
